K9 Jump Start: An Introduction to Dog Sports!

Have you ever considered participating in a sport with your dog but don't know how to begin?

Our K9 Jump Start class serves as the foundational first step in equipping your dog with essential skills needed for various dog sports.
In this program, we emphasize skills that will enhance the flow of any dog sport class, such as:

  • crate games

  • targeting

  • shaping new behaviors

  • maintaining a stay amidst distractions

  • other crucial stationary behaviors

  • fostering engagement and motivation through play

  • and much more!

K9 Jump Start is now available as a private training class. This change allows us to tailor the session curriculum to your dog's specific skill level and concentrate on the areas where they require the most support.

The program will commence with a 30 to 45-minute virtual intake session during which the instructor will gather your dog's history, discuss prior training experiences, and review your training objectives for this class. Following this, there will be four 30-minute training sessions, which can take place either at your home or at a designated location if your dog requires more practice in busier settings.

Upon completion, your dog will be well-prepared to expand on these newfound skills and dive into agility, flyball, or any other sporting class you have in mind!
